When exercising, it seems to me I can do more with less stress once I inhale as deeply as possible. Once I use that oxygen I am able to exhale deeply and re-inhale in order to continue with whatever I am doing.
Is this as affective as breathing in and out with every movement?

    • I would think that controlled nasal breathing would dictate your pace, like a jogger. If I inhale deeply and pause, I sometimes get dizzy. My blood pressure can be high and and my tinnitus gets loud and my body gets noisy. I prefer to exhale deeply first, and hold that flat, empty belly, having an easier time pausing after a deep exhale, and can mentally drift in silence as I wait for my first “que” to inhale. I do rapid breathing with a flat belly (low air volume) commonly referred to as “breath of fire”. This rapid shallow breathing will takes my mind off your activity for a minute, and is a method for me to “jump start” my breath patterns, to “play” with the breath till you feel in balance with your activity (or inactivity).
