• Another random thing to share: We had a whole backyard of white and yellow daisies, two kinds of purple wildflowers, dandelions and lantana (a flowering bush found in Florida with tiny hot pink and yellow petals or orange and yellow ones, intricate). I look at a sea of flowers and think, “Beautiful!” Husband thinks, “Snakes.” OK, so he kills one or two every time he mows. Some are harmless, some are razerback rattlesnakes! When we don’t mow and prune, we had a wildcat stalking the house. Well, I begged him not to mow ALL the flowers down because of all the little honeybees. I barely saw ANY last year. Florida is losing our bees to Big Box Store pesticides and cell phone towers that confuse them so they can’t find their hives. Twice I have found a large bumblebee inside my mailbox. I don’t know if he thought it was a hive, or was just trying to rest and find refuge from radiation. Lately I have checked the microteslas with a free phone app, inside our house but have no frame of reference to know if they are dangerous. I stopped charging my cell phone over my head at night, and I press “Send” away from my vital organs. Just saying.
