Hello! I am experimenting with becoming “keto adaptive” which means to teach the body to use its fat reserves as a source of energy. I would like to keep my blood glucose low to teach the body to love to burn fat. The morning tea recipes and others are wonderful to keep the body fueled on high quality fats … The thing is we just had a fresh heirloom wild apple harvest! … I made a variation to the fermented probiotic drink with 32 oz fresh apple juice from our trees, some Udo’sprobiotics, minerals, and some sugar to get it going… Three days later the probiotics went to work…best thing since sliced bread really… It’s fizzy apple brew way better than hard apple cider… But I’m worried about the sugar and the glucose going into my blood stream… I have a feeling that I am insulin resistant because I do better running on higher fats… would really like to implement the probiotics into my system and feel that this would be the most comprehensive approach, except for the fact that I am worried it will raise my insulin too high… Dr Cassar, and everyone of course, how do you manage to drink your probiotic ferments without it raising blood sugar and inhibiting the metabolic burning of fat…?
