I did a very deep meditation one time where I felt like I astral projected. It was the middle of summer, I sat without a shirt on in the sun meditating. I was directly connected to the earth and in the sun with my eyes closed meditating. I listened to thoughts that would come to mi
I listened to thoughts that would come to mind, I didn’t force them to come or go. I observed these thoughts, this is what I heard meditation was good for. After observing enough of these thoughts it felt like I had achieved somethign and then my consciousness was thrown to a completely different location.
I never thought of meditation to achieve astral projection ..I guess after all the process is similar. The only difference or potential problem I can see with achieving astral projection through mediation is the awareness. Yes we may both get to the same location and yes we may be both aware of what is happening. The difference is the ability to control to some extent what is going on. For instance at least when I meditate the premise is not to get stuck on anyone thing and just observe. When I lucid dream or Astral project I am able to interact with the things that I am observing in a deliberate manner.
Meditation is open ended, who really knows the number one thing to achieve. I hear everyone say something different. The ‘listening to thoughts that often go subconscious’ meditation seems good, guess you could call that observing though.
