I think adding pineapple would change the flavor. It’s like kombucha, adding different fruits in the second fermentation process will add flavor and extra fizziness. I haven’t tried lemon and lime, but I will with my next batch. So far I’ve only used ginger. Does give my kombucha a gingery taste and its so simple. I have to experiment more haha but I’ve been finding it harder for me to want to drink kombucha during the cold season.
