    Hi there,
    Had a couple questions about the probiotic brews.

    1 – Does adding fruit to the brew ( lets say a pineapple ) change the taste of the brew in any way? Or is it just an additional source of sugar for the bacteria?

    2 – Can you add Limes and Lemons to the brew? Is the acid in them harmful to the bacteria?

    • I think adding pineapple would change the flavor. It’s like kombucha, adding different fruits in the second fermentation process will add flavor and extra fizziness. I haven’t tried lemon and lime, but I will with my next batch. So far I’ve only used ginger. Does give my kombucha a gingery taste and its so simple. I have to experiment more haha but I’ve been finding it harder for me to want to drink kombucha during the cold season.
